How would you adapt a facial massage for the following skin types?
a) Mature (crepey)
b) Sensitive
c) Blemished/Congested
Which massage moves would be particularly beneficial, or should be avoided?

Which massage medium would you use?
Would you need to adapt the pressure of the massage?

a) mature = be extra gentle, outwards and upwards movements, skin may tend to stay in position you move it to so nothing really pulling. obviously ageing has already occured but try going round eyes and lips a lot – gently! any massage medium as long as it’s moisturising, may avoid strong smelling ones too.
b) sensitive = plain oil or cream (so as not to aggravate allergies,) any massage moves will be fine, altho stay away from anything too vigorous or warming on areas that already tend to be red. be gentle if they tend to sensitive to touch in areas
c) blemished/congested = oil or cream, just make sure you tone it off after. outwards and upwards movements – lymph drainage moves outwards towards ears (there are drainage nodes behind ears) any pressure. i would use firm pressure with drainage moves to try to disperse congestion. balancing toner afterwards.
can’t really say which areas to pay attention to as each person is different – you will see when you do it. can always ask the client if the pressure is ok while you’re doing it/ and ask if they have any painful areas or sensitive bitsallergies before you start
