Why do football players wear the dark face paint on their cheeks?
I’ve always wondered if it served as an intimidation strategy, or just fashionable or maybe even to protect from the sun but then the helmet would assist in that so I’m not sure, can any of you football players tell me?
It’s a little bit of everything. It’s fashionable, but not too much. It’s serves as an intimidation strategy, but who would really be a pansy enough to play in the NFL but be intimidated by face paint? It also blocks your eyes from a little bit of the sun’s glare.
