I have a 11 week old baby, she is formula fed and has a bm every morning. Usually its dark green and a paste?
like consistency. Today however while I was feeding her she had a bm and it was yellow, and full of seeds. Has anyone experienced anything like this? She is acting like herself so I don’t think she is sick..
Hello there! It sounds as if her food is moving just a bit more quickly through her digestive tract. The “seeds” are curdled milk from her formula. Typically, when you see a change in color to lighter or yellow, it just means that her food has not spent as much time being digested. This could be from her drinking her bottle more quickly, more than usual formula consumption or for no reason at all. If she is acting normally and is eating well, there is no need for concern. Just keep an eye on her, that’s all. If she should begin with some diarrhea, then it would be time for you to call her Pediatrician.
